Paying by QR code

Counting on paying by card here is not a good idea. Mostly it works only in the bigger supermarkets and shopping centres. Luckily also at most petrol stations. But in any local shop or restaurant, no chance. Colombians use QR codes through a dedicated app instead. You pay, the app shows you a confirmation and you have to show that to the staff. It works reliably, but for a tourist it is out of reach.
