Pavements ripple from the roots

The pavements here are not flat. Tree roots lift them into waves, and between two slabs there is often a two finger step that nobody has marked.

I have tripped often enough that I no longer walk with my phone in my hand. Of all the things this city has done to me, that one is the most useful.
