Coffee at home comes out of a plunger

Day of the journey
10

I expected a country that grows coffee to keep something complicated in every kitchen. It does not. At home the coffee usually comes from a glass jug with a metal mesh on a plunger: pour, wait, press.

It fits the way people drink here. Not one perfect cup, but a jug that everyone who turns up during the morning helps themselves to.
