Café Mattelsa, two hours, one coffee and a kombucha. A Czech standard for electrical installations on the screen, a palm tree outside the window, people with laptops all around, and nobody making a face about how long I have been sitting here.

This is the thing I underestimated before moving. Not the internet speed, that is everywhere, but the fact that in Medellín you are allowed to sit. You order a coffee for eight thousand pesos and the table is yours until you run out of work.

I walked home across half the city afterwards. An office you can walk out of and end up in a different neighbourhood is easy to live with.
