The Peñón de Guatapé is a single piece of granite two hundred metres high with a staircase built into it. At the top there is a view of the lake, coconut ice cream and a flock of vultures; at the bottom, a funfair with an Eiffel tower.

A tram on rubber tyres takes you from the centre to the edge of the city, and a cable car lifts you from there over the roofs of comuna 8. Back down there was an arepa festival, parakeets in a tree, a café in the house by the church, and a concert hall underground.
